PhD student at the University of São Paulo Faculty of Medicine (FM-USP) within the Metabolism and Cancer Group. With extensive experience in clinical research, cancer-associated cachexia and amino acid supplementation. Her research investigates the potential effects of leucine supplementation on muscle mass and body composition in patients with cancer. This is a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, in which we are evaluating changes in lean mass, muscle mass indices, phase angle, and other nutritional and inflammatory parameters. As the study is ongoing, these are preliminary findings. She is currently conducting part of her doctoral research at Sapienza University of Rome.
