Clinical Researcher - PhD candidate - Scientific manager
Description
I am a clinical nutrition researcher with a multidisciplinary background in biomedical sciences and nutrition and dietetics, driven by a strong interest in the role of nutrition and metabolism in human health and disease.
I am currently completing my PhD in Medical Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where I investigate personalised nutritional counselling within multidisciplinary care for people with long COVID. My doctoral work has given me broad experience in clinical trial coordination, quantitative and qualitative research, scientific communication, stakeholder engagement and grant writing.
Alongside my research, I currently work as Scientific Manager within the Metabolism and Nutrition (MENU) Research Unit, Vitality Research group at the VUB and coordinate an interuniversity micro-credential in Clinical Nutrition.
In November 2026, I will start a new chapter as a postdoctoral researcher within the Rehabilitation Research group (RERE) at the VUB, where I will expand my research towards the intersection of nutrition, metabolism, physiology, behaviour and healthy ageing.
I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that connects mechanistic insights with clinically relevant questions and ultimately contributes to more personalised and effective approaches to health and care.
