Viktoria Wallin, RN, PhD, is a lecturer and researcher with a primary interest in palliative care, food and meals, family caregiving, and social vulnerability. Her doctoral thesis, Mealtimes in Palliative Care Contexts from the Perspectives of Patients, Families, and Registered Nurses, explored the significance of meals and mealtimes in palliative care. More recently, she initiated and led a study examining the experiences of food and meals among people living in homelessness. She has also coordinated a randomized controlled trial (RCT) evaluating an internet-based support intervention for family caregivers in palliative care. In addition, her research involves projects on voluntary medical aid in a welfare state and the role of mutual aid organizations. She has a particular interest in interventions, qualitative research methods, including interviewing techniques, content analysis, and research ethics.
