I am a Researcher in Public Health and Nutrition and Lecturer at the Institute of Public Health, Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences, Rīga Stradiņš University, Latvia. I hold an MSc in Nutritional Science and specialise in participatory research methodologies, including Participatory Action Research and photovoice. My work centres on understanding and addressing barriers to healthy eating among socially vulnerable adolescents. I am an active member of the EU-funded CONNECTION project (ERA4Health Programme), contributing to cross-country research on food environments and health equity among vulnerable youth in Europe. I am currently exploring doctoral research opportunities to further investigate nutritional inequities and evidence-based interventions among socially vulnerable adolescents in Europe.
