Description

Dr Raquel Revuelta Iniesta is a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition at the University of Exeter and a registered dietitian with a PhD in Clinical Nutrition and Paediatric Oncology. Her research expertise lies in nutrition for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, focusing on prehabilitation and rehabilitation strategies that integrate diet, physical activity, and behavioural support. She investigates how nutrition influences treatment outcomes, survivorship, and long-term health, including obesity prevention, muscle health, and cardiometabolic risk. Dr Revuelta Iniesta leads and contributes to several national and international initiatives, including the NIHR Nutrition in CTYA and the BREVARY trial, and serves on the SIOP Nutrition Network Steering Committee. She was awarded the Society for Endocrinology Early Career Research Award to conduct the VIPER study in healthy adults, exploring vitamin D and muscle metabolism. Alongside her academic leadership, she has clinical experience as a paediatric oncology dietitian and remains committed to improving nutrition care globally.
