In the early 1990s, founder Dr. Kichul Cha recognised that existing body composition tools lacked the accuracy practitioners needed to make a real impact on people’s health. With a passion for precision and strong engineering expertise, he set out to create a better solution: a device that could deliver reliable, actionable data people could trust.
In 1996, that vision became reality with the launch of the first InBody analyser in Seoul, South Korea. Over the past 30 years, InBody has grown from a small biotech startup into a global leader, used by healthcare professionals, fitness experts, and researchers in more than 80 countries.
